Dona Fox – Interview – Night Sky Presents: The Silence in the Void

Night Sky Presents has released a new and exciting dark fantasy by Dona Fox The Silence of the Void.  Part 1, Sometimes They Fall

Description:

“Usually, they scream. But she fell silently to the hard-packed dirt below where she sprawled so beautifully, a spent flower tossed carelessly aside.”
Sometimes they fall is about intrigue, accidental deaths, and outright murder in the circus. Our narrator is Mason, a trapeze artist who is gradually losing his grip, both in his hands and on his mind. As he suffers the loss of those he holds most dear he struggles with reality and the resurrection of the dead.

1) What inspired you to write The Silence in the Void, specifically, Part I,  Sometimes They Fall?

These lines came to me, complete with the character’s name, which I will remove here since it would be a spoiler: “Usually they scream. [This woman] however, fell silently to the hard-packed dirt below where she sprawled so beautifully, a spent flower tossed carelessly aside.”

2) Give me a summary of what it’s about:

Sometimes They Fall is about intrigue, accidental deaths, and outright murder in the circus. Our narrator is Mason, a trapeze artist who is gradually losing his grip, both on his mind and in his trembling hands. As he suffers the loss of those he holds most dear he struggles with resurrection and reality.
